Description
ZZ plants, sometimes known as Zanzibar jewels, are low-care houseplants distinguished by their glossy, broad, oval-shaped leaves that grow upward. The spotless leaves are waxy and so deep green that these plants are sometimes mistaken for artificial. Because they are slow-growing plants, you won’t need to report them frequently, but if you do plant or repot a zz, do it in the spring or summer while it is actively growing. Humans and animals are only minimally harmed by the plants.
